Zoological Museum of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv is among the oldest university museums in Europe.
It was founded as the Cabinet of Natural History in 1784. The scientific collection includes over 178 thousand items. About 10 thousand of it forms the exhibition. Museum's funds represent the animal world of all continents (except Antarctica) and all aquatoriums of the globe.
