The main health-improving factor of the resort is the Skhidnytsia deposit of mineral waters. All the springs and wells of the deposit are self-overflowing.

There are four types of mineral waters in Skhidnytsia:
1. Low-mineralized waters with heightened content of organic matters “Naftusya”. Springs No.1, No.3, No.10, No.5, No.18, No.1”C”, No.25, No.26.
2. Middle-mineralized carbonaceous-hydrocarbonate-sodium mineral waters. Spring No.2”C” - soda water, No.4”C”.
3. Chalybeate waters. Springs No.13, No.15.
4. Sodium chloride waters with heightened content of bromine (bromine waters).

The Naftusya mineral water (Springs No.10, 18, 25, 5) is used in the treatment of the following diseases of gallbladder:
- gallbladder dyskinesia;
- chronic cholecystitis, chronic cholangitis;
- gallbladder and biliary stones;
- liver diseases;
- chronic hepatitis A, B, C;
- alcohol-induced liver injuries;
- chronic hepatocholecystitis;
- states after surgery of gallbladder.

The Naftusya mineral water (Springs No.3, No.1”C”, No.26, No.1) is used in the treatment of the following diseases of urinary system:
- chronic pyelitis;
- chronic pyelonephritis;
- chronic pyelocystitis, chronic cystitis;
- kidney and urinary bladder stones;
- diabetes mellitus A, B;
- metabolic disorders (podagra, diathesis);
- gynecological and urological diseases;
- prostatitis, prostate adenoma (1, 2).

The mineral water of the springs No.2”C”, No.4 is used in the treatment of the following diseases of gastroduodenal system:
- chronic gastritis with peracidity and normal acidity;
- chronic gastroduodenitis;
- gastric and duodenal ulcer;
- chronic pancreatitis.

The mineral water of the springs No.2”C”, No.4 is used in the treatment of the following diseases of gastroduodenal system:
- stomach diseases with low acidity and anacidity;
- atrophic gastritis;
- anaemia;
- thyroid gland diseases;
- chronic enteritis and colitis;
- radiation disease.
